Lip Smacker's Send A Smile App Concept

A previous Creative Director of mine approached me one day around 1:00 PM and says, “Hey, we need to design an app for an RFP by EOD tomorrow.” I asked for whom this RFP was for and he responds Lip Smackers.

Now being a 25 year old male at the time, my first thought was actually a question—”Do you mean that girly lip balm company?” Well it was, so I immediately dove into researching the company for about an hour and then I got down to business to meet my less than 24–hour deadline.

24 hours later with no wireframes, IA or any pre–planned UX, the Lip Smacker’s Send a Smile App Concept was born. I had created an app for young girls to take pictures with their phones, dress them up with age appropriate props and filters, and then have the option to share via social networks, or to send an actual postcard version of their image to whomever they’d like. Sending a smile has never been easier than with this app. Unfortunately, Lip Smacker’s had to back burner this great idea and will hopefully one day bring these designs back into development.

Step One & Two

After choosing or taking a picture, it’s time to dress it up! With a selection of pre made borders and props, users of this app would be able to personalize their photos to their wildest dreams. The creative part of this app, and the personalization that comes with that is what makes it so special.

Your image is smile-worthy and ready to share.
But where?

Long story short, anywhere. You can hook into any social media outlet and post a digital version of your picture. Send your smile across the interwebs.

Or Send A Real Mail Postcard

Hooking into Sincerely’s API, users can actually send a postcard version of their image to whomever they choose! Sending your smile is that easy, and all inside the app.
